Georgetown County Fire EMS
Founded in 1982, with roots tracing back to 1976, Georgetown County Fire EMS is built on a legacy of dedication and service. In 2005, we united two departments to create a comprehensive emergency response team that spans our beautiful coastal community.
Georgetown County, officially established in 1769, is the eighth largest county in South Carolina, covering approximately 813 square miles. Nestled between Myrtle Beach and Charleston, it boasts stunning low country landscapes and rich history, from historic plantations to modern attractions. With five rivers flowing through our county, residents and visitors alike enjoy a wealth of recreational opportunities, including fishing, kayaking, and sailing.
As your trusted emergency service provider, we respond to around 8,000–9,000 calls each year, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Our fleet includes 9 staffed fire stations and 5 ambulances, equipped to deliver all levels of care, from EMT-Basic to EMT-Paramedic.
At Georgetown County Fire EMS, we're not just first responders; we're your neighbors, ready to protect and serve whenever you need us.
